Plagiarism Policy

Plagiarism refers to the use of another person’s work, ideas, expressions, or data without proper acknowledgment, presenting them as one’s own original contribution. It includes both intentional and unintentional acts of copying or close imitation without appropriate citation.

Zero Tolerance for Plagiarism

The International Journal for Research in Social Science and Humanities (IJRSSH) enforces a strict zero-tolerance policy toward plagiarism in any form. The following practices are considered unethical:

  • Reproducing text, ideas, datasets, tables, figures, or images without proper citation
  • Self-plagiarism or significant overlap with previously published or submitted work
  • Duplicate submission or redundant publication
  • Poor paraphrasing or insufficient referencing of original sources

Any manuscript found to contain plagiarism will be rejected and will not be considered for publication.

Originality Screening

All manuscripts submitted to IJRSSH are checked using standard plagiarism detection tools before entering the peer review process. The editorial team carefully reviews similarity reports to distinguish acceptable academic referencing from unethical duplication.

Editorial Measures

If plagiarism or any unethical conduct is identified at any stage, the journal reserves the right to take appropriate actions, including:

  • Rejection of the manuscript
  • Requesting clarification or revisions from the authors
  • Withdrawal or retraction of a published article
  • Informing the author’s affiliated institution or relevant authorities, when necessary

Author Responsibility

Authors are responsible for ensuring that their submissions are entirely original and that all sources are properly cited. By submitting a manuscript to IJRSSH, authors confirm adherence to recognized ethical standards, including the guidelines set by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
